Job summary

ICE Recruit is seeking a Drainage Engineer in London to lead drainage design and delivery on major schemes with values up to £150 million. The role involves developing drainage strategies, FRAs and related works, producing technical reports and coordinating planning applications.

You will liaise with clients and contractors, manage own workload and deliver projects on time and within budget. A Civil Engineering degree or HND is expected, with chartership or progress toward it highly valued.

Drainage Engineer

London

£45k-£50k plus benefits

Our client is expanding their civils team and they have an exciting opportunity for a Drainage Engineer who is able to work independently, taking ownership of projects from initial design through to completion.

You will be involved in a diverse range of schemes across multiple sectors, with project values reaching up to £150 million.

The role will see you being responsible for the design and delivery of drainage strategies, FRAs and associated works, providing practical and technically robust solutions. The role will also involve preparing technical reports, drainage strategies, planning and consent applications, and liaising directly with clients, contractors and other professionals.

Strong communication and client-facing skills are important, together with the ability to manage your own workload and deliver projects to programme and budget.

Ideally, you will hold a degree or HND in Civil Engineering and have solid UK consultancy experience in drainage and infrastructure design. You will be either Chartered or actively working towards Chartership, with a proven ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Experience with AutoCAD, InfoDrainage and Civils 3D is required.
