Currently undergoing a phase of growth, they work with a wide range of clients across the UK in both the public and private sectors, focusing heavily on sustainable development.

Your new role

Owing to a healthy pipeline of exciting highway drainage, flood alleviation, and SuDS design projects, they are now looking for a drainage engineer in the water sector to assist with project delivery and management, ensuring new commissions are delivered to the highest possible standards.

In short, you will be able to:

• Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Work on the design and modelling of drainage designs, SuDS designs, and hydraulic models
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Conduct site evaluations to assess existing drainage infrastructure and identify areas for improvement

About you

We are seeking professionals with the skillset to thrive in a small and dynamic team. You should demonstrate:

• A keen eye for detail, essential for identifying potential issues and ensuring plans are accurate
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, clients, and contractors, and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, alongside collaboration skills
• Experience in highways drainage or the design of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Strong CAD skills, with Civil3D experience preferred
• Experience with Micro Drainage or similar software
• Chartership with the relevant professional body or working towards it
