Your new company

Currently undergoing a phase of growth, they work with a wide range of clients across the UK in both the public and private sectors, focusing on sustainable development.

Your new role

Due to a healthy pipeline of exciting highway drainage, flood alleviation, and SuDS design projects, they are now looking for a drainage engineer in the water sector to assist with project delivery and management, ensuring new commissions are delivered to the highest standards.

In short, you will be able to:

• Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Design and model drainage systems, SuDS, and hydraulic models.
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site evaluations to assess existing drainage infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.

About you

We are seeking professionals with the skillset to thrive in a small and dynamic team.

You should demonstrate:

• A keen eye for detail to identify potential issues and ensure accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, clients, and contractors, and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Experience in highways drainage or in designing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
• Strong CAD skills, including Civil 3D experience.
• Experience with Micro Drainage or similar software.
• Chartership with the relevant professional body or working towards it.
