Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd in Bristol is seeking a hands-on operative to join reactive drainage contracts. You will operate jetting and vacuumation equipment, working alongside an HGV driver, and maintain accurate job records on a company tablet.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week with pay between £13.00 and £14.00 per hour. A valid UK driving licence and comfort with PDA/tablet devices are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving License is required.
• Competent in using an electronic device - PDA / Tablet.

Responsibilities

• Work closely in a two-person team operating jetting and vacuumation units.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations when required to assess underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages in drains and sewers.
• Liaise with customers and update electronic records.
• Ensure safety issues are reported and conduct vehicle/equipment checks.

Department: Drainage/Depot Network

consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year. Purpose of the role

Working on a variety of different reactive contracts, you will be working closely with a HGV driver to operate jetting and vacuumation equipment for the purpose of clearing blockages and maintaining / servicing drainage systems.

You will be assisting operatives to conduct work accordingly, so a hands on approach is needed due to the manual nature of the work. You will be responsible for using a company tablet on a daily basis to keep accurate records of jobs and documentation.
