Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to bring customer orders straight to their doorsteps with energy, warmth and care, delivering a reliable doorstep experience in every delivery. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform vehicle checks, follow planned routes and handle deliveries and customer queries, with opportunities to support the store when not on the road.

Qualifications

• Be over 18 years old.
• Hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Safe driving with in-cab cameras and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at each doorstep delivery.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out basic checks to keep the van roadworthy and clean.
• Follow planned routes and adapt to traffic and weather conditions.
• Deliver to a range of properties, including stairs or longer walks from the van.
• Communicate with customers, inform about delays and handle order changes.
• When not delivering, provide store support as needed.
