Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is seeking a Community Engagement Campaign Assistant on a fixed-term contract until Christmas. Based at Day’s Road, you will help residents recycle more and waste less through canvassing, doorstep conversations and distributing campaign materials.

You will record insights from conversations, coordinate with the campaign team and support logistics such as arranging recycling containers. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, with occasional weekends/evenings.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
• Can multi-task and prioritise while interacting with the public.
• A knowledge of or interest in community engagement and sustainability.
• Experience interacting with members of the public.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct guided doorstep conversations with residents to gather insights and provide information on recycling.
• Accurately and promptly record information from resident conversations in a clear and structured manner.
• Distribute communication materials during engagements and deliver recycling containers if required.
• Maintain communication with the point of contact, advising of progress, locations and issues.
• Maintain paperwork and follow processes to ensure campaign delivery efficiency.
