Job summary

ABM at Walkergate Shopping Centre in DH1 1SQ seeks a relief Door Supervisor to be the public face of the security team. You will deliver first‑class customer service while ensuring safety and adherence to site policies and procedures.

Shifts include evenings and weekends. The role requires proactivity, patrols, incident reporting to the Control Room, and collaboration with the Environmental Services team to work as one cohesive unit. Previous door supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in door supervision preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors and tenants delivering first-class customer service.
• Carry out regular patrols of the venues as detailed in site instructions.
• Proactively assist visitors and staff in bars and restaurants where opportunities arise.

SHIFT PATTERN: Relief role, shifts to include throughout the week and weekends 1715-0200,2000-0630,1530-0300

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

• Readilyinteractwithallvisitors/tenantswithintheVenues,deliveringfirstclass customer focused service
• CarryoutregularpatrolsoftheVenuesasdetailedinthesite assignmentInstructions, being always proactive
• ContinuouslylookforopportunitiestobeofassistancetovisitorsattheBars andRestauraunts, proactively helping wherever opportunities arise
• Safeguardallthevenues and Carparking areasaresafeandnon-threateningenvironmentforallvisitors/tenants.
• Ensuringallincidentsaremanagedinaccordancewithsitepoliciesandprocedure
• Liaisingwithsitecontrolroomproactivelyreactingtoincidentsandensuringcolleaguesarefully briefed and always supported
• EnsureanyunsecureareasofthesitearereportedtoControlRoomimmediatelyandaction taken to resolve
• Record/logallnon-conformancesandemergencieswiththeappropriatecontrolroomoperatives
• DealefficientlyandeffectivelywithallemergenciesensuringtheCentreteamarekeptfully always informed
• Intelligentunderstanding ofhumanbehaviour,monitoringandsurveillanceofsuspect individuals, logging, and reporting incidents in line with site/company polices
• Maintainvigilanceandhighlight/manageunauthorisedaccessbybannedindividuals
• Ensureradioproceduresarealwaysadheredto
• Ensureallevents/incidentsarercordedintheStaffnotebookcorrectlyandnotebook policies are always adhered to
• Undertakeanyotherreasonabledutiesasrequiredtomeettheneedsofthebusiness.

• Ensureatimelyresponsetoallsecurityissuesandevents
• Completealltrainingrequirementsasrequestedbylinemanager

• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful always whilst carry out duties to thehighest standard

• PreviousDoor Supervisory Experience preferred.
