Job summary

Specsavers Norge is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to take eye care directly to patients in their homes across the Edinburgh region. You will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe and arrange corrective devices, and support customers who cannot visit stores, while providing exceptional service and clinical care.

This role offers a company car or car allowance, a generous basic salary and a welcome bonus, plus extensive benefits including pension, extra leave and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Must have a full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye care to patients in their homes through domiciliary visits.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and manage prescriptions as appropriate.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and clinical care in community settings.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

Based on the east coast, covering areas such as Edinburgh, Livingstone, Haddington, Peebles,Galashiels etc, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

You’ll be provided with a company car (or allowance) to bring your care directly to people’s homes.

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role.Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and you must have a full driving license. You’ll also need to be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service and be comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team.
