Job summary

Supply Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to support victims of domestic violence in Greater Manchester. The role focuses on safe accommodation, safety planning and facilitating access to housing and support services.

You will provide independent advocacy, deliver tailored interventions for high and medium-risk victims, and conduct DASH risk assessments in line with the DV strategy. DBS clearance and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

  • Previous IDVA experience is essential.
  • Right to Work in the UK (Passport, Visa, Share Code etc.)
  • Valid DBS Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Acting as an independent advocate for victims of domestic violence and abuse
  • Ensuring the voice of the child is heard where domestic violence impacts the family household
  • Delivering high-quality, tailored interventions for high and medium-risk victims
  • Undertaking and reviewing DASH risk assessments and safety planning
  • Supporting households in temporary accommodation and under the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)
  • Working in line with the Domestic Violence and Abuse Strategy to promote positive outcomes for service users

Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) job in Greater Mancheter.

RATE: £23.90 ph (umbrella)

TYPE: Locum

HOURS: 36 per week

Supply Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join a busy service supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse.

About the Role

As an IDVA, you will act as an independent advocate, ensuring that victims of domestic violence and abuse are at the centre of service delivery. You will provide specialist support to high and medium-risk victims, helping them access safe accommodation, develop safety plans, and navigate housing and support services.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as an independent advocate for victims of domestic violence and abuse
  • Ensuring the voice of the child is heard where domestic violence impacts the family household
  • Delivering high-quality, tailored interventions for high and medium-risk victims
  • Undertaking and reviewing DASH risk assessments and safety planning
  • Supporting households in temporary accommodation and under the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017)

Essential Requirements
