Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant in Edinburgh to support homemaker apartments and communal areas, including laundry and cleaning duties. McCarthy & Stone are recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to join the team at our Retirement Living Plus development, Lyle Court in Edinburgh.

Set on Barnton Grove, adjacent to the iconic building of the former Barnton Hotel, Lyle Court is a beautiful Retirement Living Plus development of 73-one-and-two-bedroom apartments . This is not traditional care, this is better!

Hourly rate: £12.85per hour ( inclusive of weekend work)

About the role:

As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for the domestic support and housekeeping, of our homeowner apartments, their laundry service and cleaning or the development’s communal areas . You will support in the Bistro or Restaurant during service times and provide lifestyle services to our homeowners . These include, chaperoning homeowners to medical appointments, and/or other community related services, or simply offering social support . There are usually opportunities for overtime within nearby developments as well.

• Experience in a customer care or service role within a similar environment, such as health & social care, hospitality, retail, domestic services or even caring for a family member.
