Shaw healthcare is seeking a Domestic Supervisor in London with a fixed weekly schedule of 35 hours, including weekends. The role focuses on leading cleaning teams, managing schedules, and upholding safety and infection-control standards to support high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Arrange allocation of work and duties for all cleaning staff and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
• Devise cleaning schedules and periodic cleaning plans with the Service Manager.
• Record cleaning frequencies (daily, weekly, periodic).
• Control issue and use of all cleaning products.
• Supervise COSHH regulated products and keep COSHH assessment forms up to date.
• Supervise and develop all Domestic Staff.
• Monitor cleaning and Health & Safety standards and take remedial action when needed.
• Ensure controls, recording and monitoring procedures are carried out as advised by the Service Manager or Facilities Manager.
• Maintain communication with Care Staff, residents and visitors and respond to residents' needs.
• Maintain electrical equipment in good order and report defects.
• Liaise with the Service Manager on decorating and maintenance needs.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning and laundry materials and manage stock control systems.
• Advise on cleaning aspects such as spillages and infection control practices.
