Derbyshire County Council’s Specialist Dementia Residential Service is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help keep the home clean, safe and welcoming for residents living with dementia. You will join a supportive team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.

The role offers a permanent contract, 26.5 hours per week, and development opportunities within Adult Care Services, with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Understanding of the needs of older people and people living with dementia.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

About The Role

We are looking for a caring and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our Specialist Dementia Care Home team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the home provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for people living with dementia.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the home while treating residents with dignity, respect and compassion.
