Job summary

Bowburn Manor is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our founding team and help create a home where residents feel comfortable, cared for and valued. You’ll maintain bedrooms and communal areas, uphold high cleanliness, and support infection prevention to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

You’ll work alongside a caring team, receive ongoing training and development, and benefit from a competitive salary and progression opportunities as Bowburn Manor opens to residents in Durham.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping, hospitality, domestic or cleaning experience is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills.
• A positive and proactive approach.
• Pride in maintaining high standards.

The Role

As Housekeeper, you'll play a key part in ensuring Bowburn Manor always looks and feels its best.

From beautifully maintained bedrooms and welcoming communal areas to ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention, your work will have a direct impact on residents, relatives and visitors every day.

You’ll be an important member of the team, helping create a home where people feel proud, comfortable and cared for.

What You'll Do

Create Exceptional Standards

Maintain high levels of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home.

Help Residents Feel at Home

Ensure bedrooms and communal spaces remain welcoming, comfortable and well cared for.

Support Resident Wellbeing

Recognise the important contribution a safe, clean and organised environment makes to everyday life.

Maintain Supplies and Equipment

Monitor cleaning stocks, report faults and help ensure equipment remains safe and effective.

Promote Health and Safety

Follow infection prevention, COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Build positive relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues and contribute to the home’s supportive culture.
