St Mary’s Care Homes seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for Bowburn Manor in Durham, a brand-new luxury care home opening soon. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with every other weekend off and permanent contract, with a competitive salary and opportunities for development.

You will maintain pristine bedrooms and communal areas, uphold infection prevention standards, and contribute to residents feeling truly at home through thoughtful service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping, hospitality, domestic or cleaning experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional standards by maintaining high levels of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home.
• Help residents feel at home by ensuring bedrooms and communal spaces are welcoming and well cared for.
• Support resident wellbeing by maintaining a safe, clean and organised environment.
• Maintain supplies and equipment by monitoring stocks and reporting faults, ensuring equipment remains safe and effective.
• Promote health and safety by following infection prevention, COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Work together by building positive relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues to support the home's culture.

The Role

As Housekeeper, you'll play a key part in ensuring Bowburn Manor always looks and feels its best.

From beautifully maintained bedrooms and welcoming communal areas to ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention, your work will have a direct impact on residents, relatives and visitors every day.

You’ll be an important member of the team, helping create a home where people feel proud, comfortable and cared for.

What You’ll Do

Create Exceptional Standards

Maintain high levels of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home.

Help Residents Feel at Home

Ensure bedrooms and communal spaces remain welcoming, comfortable and well cared for.

Support Resident Wellbeing

Recognise the important contribution a safe, clean and organised environment makes to everyday life.

Maintain Supplies and Equipment

Monitor cleaning stocks, report faults and help ensure equipment remains safe and effective.

Promote Health and Safety
