Cumberland Council is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment at our Homeless Accommodation Sites in Carlisle. You will perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks, follow infection control and health and safety procedures, report maintenance issues and support residents’ wellbeing and safeguarding.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 14 hours per week, with a pro-rata annual salary of £9,237.

About The Role

As a Domestic Assistant within our Homeless Accommodation Service, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for service users. You will carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties, follow infection control and health and safety procedures, report maintenance concerns, and support the wellbeing and safeguarding of residents. Working as part of a team, you will contribute to delivering a high-quality service while maintaining professional standards and flexibility to meet service needs.
