Job summary
Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is currently representing a Domestic Heating Engineer (OFTEC-Qualified) role based across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. The position involves travelling to customer sites to service and maintain oil-fired boilers, air source heat pumps and hybrid heating systems, as part of a UK operations team.
You will diagnose faults on site, provide technical guidance to customers, and complete boiler certification paperwork while delivering high standards of service
Qualifications
- OFTEC-qualified and experienced with oil-fired boilers in domestic properties.
- Experience with heat pumps is highly desirable.
- F-Gas qualifications would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Travel to sites across Hertfordshire to service and maintain oil-fired boilers, air source heat pumps and hybrid heating systems.
- Respond to reactive boiler and heat pump breakdowns with diagnostics, fault-finding and repairs.
- Provide on-site technical support to customers and advise on product usage and upgrades.
- Complete all boiler certification requirements and related administration.

Location: Hertfordshire & surrounding areas
We currently have an opportunity available to join a leading heating manufacturer as part of their 100+ strong UK operations that turn over £75m+ each year, and offer products to customers across oil-fired boilers, heat pumps and hybrid heating systems.
- Travelling to sites across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas to complete 2 - 3 routine servicing and maintenance jobs a day on oil-fired boilers, air source heat pumps and hybrid heating systems
- Responding to reactive boiler and heat pump breakdowns and completing on-site diagnostics, fault-finding and repairs
- Providing technical support to customers on site including how to best use their heating systems and making recommendations for additional products to purchase where necessary
- Completing all necessary administration and boiler certification requirements
- Must be OFTEC-qualified and experienced completing installations, servicing and maintenance on oil-fired boilers within domestic properties
- Experience and qualifications across heat pumps is highly desirable
- Qualifications such as F-Gas would also be highly desirable
- Based within Hertfordshire or the surrounding areas and happy to travel
- Hold a full UK driving licence
