Job summary

Ganymede Energy is recruiting an experienced Gas Repair Engineer to diagnose faults with central heating systems in customers' homes and carry out boiler repairs. You’ll work independently most days, supported by field coaches and a dedicated training centre to develop your skills.

The role requires CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1, with strong fault-finding abilities and a good understanding of basic electrical systems. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1 are required.
• Strong experience diagnosing and repairing domestic boiler breakdowns.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills; basic electrical understanding.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers in their homes to diagnose faults and perform boiler repairs.
• Troubleshoot and achieve safe, effective first-time fixes where possible.
• Use diagnostic tools, including a multi-meter, to identify issues.
• Work independently with support from an experienced team and coaches.

Gas Repair Engineer

£46,250 + £1,500 guaranteed first-year bonus / 40 hours per week / Permanent

Ganymede Energy is working with an established and growing provider of heating and maintenance services across the UK, recruiting for an experienced Gas Repair Engineer to join their team.

The Role

As a Gas Repair Engineer, you’ll visit customers in their homes to diagnose faults with central heating systems and carry out the necessary boiler repairs.

This is a role where your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills really matter. You’ll be dealing with a variety of boiler breakdowns, identifying the cause of the problem and working towards a safe and effective first-time fix wherever possible. You’ll need to be confident with fault-finding and have a good understanding of basic electrical systems, including using a multi-meter to help diagnose boiler faults.

You’ll be working independently for much of the day, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll have the support of an experienced team, along with access to dedicated training and field-based coaching to help you continue developing your skills.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Gas Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, takes pride in getting things right and is comfortable working directly with customers in their homes.

You’ll need:

• CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1
• Strong experience diagnosing and repairing domestic boiler breakdowns
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A good understanding of basic electrical systems
• Confidence using a multi-meter to diagnose faults
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Good customer service skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers
• A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good attention to detail
• A genuine "can do" attitude and willingness to keep learning
