Job summary
Axis CLC is seeking an experienced Heating Engineer to service, repair and install domestic gas systems across the Preston area. You will handle heating and plumbing tasks in occupied and void properties, ensuring compliance and safety while delivering excellent customer service.
The role requires ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1) with HTR1/G3 desirable, a valid UK driving licence, and eligibility for SC/BPSS clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer with plumbing skills.
- Current ACS qualifications CCN1, CENWAT and CKR1 are required; HTR1 and G3 are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain/maintain SC and BPSS clearance.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance of domestic gas appliances, boilers and heating systems.
- Perform plumbing repairs and installations in occupied and void properties.
- Diagnose faults and deliver high quality first-time fixes where possible.
- Undertake gas safety inspections and ensure compliance with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete accurate job documentation and maintain excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and clients to deliver safe, compliant services.
