Job summary

Together Housing Group is seeking a Gas Technician to join our busy team in the Calderdale area. You will repair heating and hot water systems in tenanted and vacant properties, working to job tickets and safety standards. We value a Right First Time approach, customer care, and thorough documentation.

The role requires ACS qualifications, a City and Guilds/C&G Gas Maintenance certificate (or NVQ3), and a Full UK driving licence. A company van and LGPS pension are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Full Manual UK Driving Licence required.
• ACS accreditations: CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, UDHW.
• City and Guilds Craft Certificate in Gas Maintenance or NVQ Level 3.
• Experience in installation, fault finding and servicing on domestic gas appliances.
• Experience in building repairs and maintenance related gas work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs on heating and hot water systems in tenanted and vacant properties.
• Work to job tickets, opti-time slots, specifications, and drawings.
• Aim to complete repairs in one visit with high workmanship standards.
• Record requirements and prepare gas certificates and documentation.
• Engage with customers professionally and protect tenants’ belongings.
• Carry out risk assessments and follow health and safety regulations.
• Be multi-skilled and assist with related gas trade tasks as needed.
