Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer to cover Norwich. The successful candidate will handle pre-planned service calls, attend to reactive repairs, and maintain heating systems. This permanent, full-time position offers a starting salary of £32,500, increasing after probation, with on-target earnings around £40,000. Additional qualifications will be provided to enhance skills, alongside a company van and fuel card.

Responsibilities

• Attend reactive repairs calls of gas appliances and where possible repair on the first call.

• Ensure jobs are completed to specification and on time.
• Work alongside the operations team to ensure a successful installation.
• Deliver high level of customer satisfaction.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer to cover Norwich for our Client. The company are boiler and heating experts delivering both reactive and planned solutions to their customers. Due to company growth they require additional Engineers to join their successful team.

LOCATION

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be required to:

• Carry our pre-planned service calls of gas appliances
• Attending reactive repairs calls of gas appliances and where possible repair on the first call via £5k van stock and local merchants.
• Carry out planned maintenance on heating systems and appliances.
• Ensure jobs are completed to specification and on time
• When necessary work alongside our operations team to ensure a successful installation
• Deliver the high level of customer satisfaction customers have come to expect

SALARY / BENEFITS

£32,500 per year basic. £40,000 OTE.

• Candidates will start on £32,500 basic with overtime and callout on top.
• After 6-months’ probation this will rise to £34,500.
• After probation you will also be given additional qualifications (if required) to ensure you become one of the most highly skilled Engineers in the area.
• On target earning will be around £40,000
• Call out is 1 in 5 / 1 in 6 depending on location
• Standard hours are 40 per week 8 - 5
