Job summary

Multitask Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team in Norwich. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, with established on-call duties and a 37.5-hour week.

You will work on commercial and domestic gas systems, perform gas safety checks, and maintain records. A full UK driving licence and ACS Gas qualifications are essential for this long-term opportunity.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, COCN1 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in gas maintenance, servicing, fault finding and installation.
• Experience working on commercial and/or domestic gas systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to join the on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and installation works.
• Fault find, diagnose, repair and service gas systems.
• Work on commercial and domestic gas boilers, heating systems, pipework, gas-fired water heaters, air handling units and radiant tube heaters.
• Complete gas safety checks, testing and certification in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Respond to reactive callouts and participate in the on-call rota.
• Produce quotes for repair and installation works.
• Maintain accurate records on the CAFM system.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Travel between multiple sites as required.

Are you a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer looking for your next long-term move? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established building services contractor for an experienced Maintenance Gas Engineer to join their Facilities Management division. You'll be working across a varied portfolio of sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of commercial and domestic gas systems, with genuine scope to build a stable, rewarding career within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, COCN1 or equivalent)
• Proven experience in gas maintenance, servicing, fault finding and installation
• Experience working on commercial and/or domestic systems
• Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and compliance
• Experience within Facilities Management or building services preferred
• Good IT skills, including CAFM systems or similar
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach and willingness to join the on-call rota

Desirable:

• Commercial catering qualifications (COMCAT 1-5)
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating
• Experience with HVAC systems and controls
