Job summary

Holmes Care Group in Wishaw, United Kingdom, is seeking a friendly Domestic Assistant to help keep our homes clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

You will clean rooms and communal areas, handle laundry, assist with dining preparations, and follow hygiene standards. We welcome attitude and compassion over experience, with training provided and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; caring attitude essential.
• Able to follow instructions and maintain hygiene standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop in the role.

Responsibilities

• Our Domestic staff will ensure homes are kept clean, presentable and safe for residents and visitors.
• Clean resident rooms, communal and staff areas, toilets and bathrooms.
• Dispose of refuse and maintain waste bins.
• Assist with laundry tasks and ironing as needed.
• Aid in dining room preparation for meals.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors.

What does the day of a Domestic Assistant look like?

Our Domestic staff will ensure our homes are kept clean, presentable, and safe for residents and visitors:

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises

To clean resident rooms, communal and staff areas as well as toilets and bathrooms

Disposal of refuse/waste ensuring waste bins are maintained.

Assist with laundry tasks.

Assisting with dining room preparation for mealtimes

Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important member of the team
