Job summary

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Services operative responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards across allocated areas. You will follow schedules, move between areas and departments as needed, and support environmental cleaning.

You will operate floor cleaning machinery, clean medical device equipment as directed, and liaise with location managers and the Domestic Manager to respond to service escalations.

• Provide cleaning to high standards, following allocated schedules.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment following health and safety guidance.
• Clean medical device equipment as directed.
• Support wall washing during service escalation.

To provide excellent standards of cleanliness whilst working to schedules relevant to allocated areas To be flexible on a day to day basis moving area to area and across departments (within Domestic Services) To operate machinery within Domestic Services, i.e. floor cleaning equipment whilst following health and safety guidance and training given Clean medical device equipment as directed Conduct environmental cleaning, wall washing and deep cleaning as required Flexible support for wall washing during times of service escalation Liaise with location department managers as required (as well as Domestic Manager)
