Job summary

The Sunrise Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant in Brighton to help maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards across facilities. You will work as part of a team to ensure a clean, tidy and pleasant environment for residents, staff, visitors or service users.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitising spaces, and following infection prevention guidelines to ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing surfaces to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Clean and sanitise bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, offices and other designated spaces in accordance with cleaning schedules.
• Follow appropriate cleaning procedures and infection prevention and control guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene.
• Safely use cleaning products, equipment and materials in line with manufacturer instructions and health and safety requirements.
• Replenish essential supplies, including soap, toilet paper, paper towels and other cleaning materials, as required.
• Dispose of general waste and clinical waste, where applicable and in accordance with organisational procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, spillages, hazards or any health and safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean, safe and organised condition.
• Respect the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of residents, service users, staff and visitors at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure cleaning duties are completed efficiently and consistently.
