Job summary

Dovehaven Care Homes in Oldham is seeking a compassionate Domestic Assistant for Avonleigh Gardens. You will help keep the home clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents on a 24-hour-per-week rota with shifts from 9am–3pm and 12pm–6pm, including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the home.
• Hoovering, dusting, polishing, and mopping floors.
• Shampooing carpets and maintaining communal areas.
• Supporting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assisting with laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing.
• Ensuring clothing and bedding are labelled and cared for correctly.
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Supporting residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment every day.

This includes:

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the home
