Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking a Domestic Assistant for a private, small retirement home in Doncaster. The role is part-time with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene and presentation to create a homely environment for residents.

You will work as part of a supportive team, following procedures to maintain safety and comfort while treating residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Previous domestic or cleaning experience is desirable.

The Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the home. You will help create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, safe and comfortable.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Cleaning lounges, dining areas, corridors and other shared spaces.
• Following cleaning schedules and infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensuring cleaning materials are stored appropriately.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate person.
• Treating residents with dignity, respect and consideration while carrying out your duties.
• Working as part of a team to maintain a pleasant and homely environment.
