Job summary

Mossview Care Home, part of Care Concern Group Limited, is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment at Lochgelly. You will clean resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry, and follow infection control procedures to ensure high hygiene standards.

Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract. This is a part-time role at 26 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or care settings is helpful but not required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Assist with laundry and ensure personal belongings are handled carefully.
• Follow infection control, health and safety procedures in daily tasks.

Job description

Mossview Care Home is a modern residence located in the heart of Lochgelly, Fife, providing high quality Residential and Dementia care for up to 42 residents. The home offers a supportive and welcoming environment where residents receive person centred care and feel truly at home.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 26 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
