As a Domestic Assistant at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, you’ll play an important part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. Your work has purpose. You’ll provide cleaning, housekeeping and catering support across clinical areas and departments, helping us maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control and patient care. You’ll work as part of a wider team and may be based within a specific ward or department or support different areas of the hospital depending on operational needs.
You'll be comfortable working in a busy hospital environment where high standards of cleanliness, safety and care are essential. This is a physically active role, and you’ll be mobile for most of your working day. Tasks will include manual handling and the use of a range of cleaning and facilities equipment. As this role involves working within a hospital environment, you must be able to obtain the appropriate Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) checks as part of our pre-employment checks. Full training will be provided to help you carry out each task safely and effectively. You’ll need to be comfortable using equipment and systems relevant to the role.
