Job summary

We are seeking a Domestic Assistant at Huddersfield - Skelmanthorpe Health Centre to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff. The role is part‑time, 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 16:45 to 19:45, with a standard DBS check required.

You will perform cleaning duties, support infection prevention measures, and follow health and safety procedures, contributing to a high standard of care and patient experience at NHS Property Services.

Qualifications

• DBS check in place or willing to undergo DBS check.
• Experience in cleaning, domestic services or healthcare environments is preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard across the site.
• Support infection prevention and control measures.
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.

About the role

• Location: Huddersfield - Skelmanthorpe Health Centre
• Hours: 15 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 16.45pm – 19.45pm
• Standard DBS Check Required

What you'll be doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our healthcare environment remains clean, safe and comfortable for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Working in line with NHS Property Services policies, procedures and cleaning schedules, you'll:

• Carry out cleaning duties to a consistently high standard
• Support infection prevention and control measures
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Complete routine cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the site
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service
