Working Part Time: Variety of Shift Patterns Available

We have permanent positions for hardworking, motivated individuals to join the Domestic Services Team at The Countess of Chester Hospital. The vacancies are for the following shifts:

• 5am till 8am Monday to Friday
• Weekend mornings 7:30am till 1pm

These posts are designed to assist with providing a full range of cleaning duties, 7 days a week in a hospital/healthcare environment.

The domestic department maintains very high standards. After completing full training, the successful candidates will be expected to carry out the full range of domestic duties, including cleaning bathrooms, toilets, ward areas, emptying bins, and replenishing soap dispensers, hand towels, and sanitisers.

Main duties of the job

• The safe removal of domestic and clinical waste from waste bins, following specified procedures and ensuring correct colour liners are replaced.
• Identifying areas to be cleaned, planning and organising a cleaning programme with the Domestic Supervisor, ensuring Patient, Staff, and Visitor safety is not compromised.
• Cleaning of ward/healthcare environment as per National Standards of Cleaning and Frequencies.
• Cleaning all sanitary areas and ward equipment, e.g., baths, toilets, washbasins, showers, and sluice sinks. Regularly checking sanitary areas throughout the day.
• Cleaning kitchen areas, sinks, worktops, cupboards, drawers, cookers, refrigerators, and ice machines.
