Job Description

Carry out general cleaning tasks including damp dusting of furniture, fixtures, fittings, skirting, and interior glass doors. Empty and dispose of domestic and clinical waste following MFT’s Infection Control and Waste Disposal Policies. Perform high- and low-level dusting of walls, ledges, perimeter fittings, and paintwork. Clean all sanitary fittings and fixtures. Supply and replenish consumables such as paper towels, toilet rolls, and soap. Maintain floor areas and surfaces using appropriate equipment. Remove and re-hang shower curtains. Keep cleaning store and equipment in order. Respond to ad hoc and specialist cleaning requests as directed by supervision or management. Report mechanical defects, pest sightings, or building faults. Collect and return keys after securing doors, windows, and exits. Use cleaning materials and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH Regulations. Maintain chemical and equipment levels, check machinery, and report faults. Ensure all cleaning duties are performed safely, using hazard signs as necessary. Follow work schedules based on contractual specifications. Some duties may include catering tasks such as dishwashing, making toast, and distributing breakfast items and beverages.
