An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team. We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in infection control, helping to keep the hospital running smoothly. This isn't just any cleaning job; it's a chance to make a meaningful impact.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday: Full-time (Days)
• Tuesday: Full-time (Days)
• Wednesday: Full-time (Days)
• Thursday: Flexible
• Friday: Flexible
• Saturday: Mornings
• Sunday: Mornings

Responsibilities:

• Dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces at high and low levels.
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas, including infected zones.
• Maintaining rubbish bins and removing waste when full.
• Ensuring all areas meet hospital standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation, following policies and procedures.
• Using equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Passionate about patient care with effective communication skills for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, aware of potential contact with unwell or distressed patients.
• No prior experience as a Domestic Assistant is required; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs covered by the employer.
