Job summary

Abbeyfield The Dales is seeking a warm, reliable care support assistant to help maintain a clean, safe environment across resident rooms, communal areas and guest spaces.

You will follow infection control procedures, handle laundry, report hazards, and respect residents' privacy and dignity while working in a friendly, not-for-profit setting.

Commitment to good English, reliable attendance, and ability to work the listed shift pattern is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining hygienic environments in care settings.
• Ability to follow infection control and health and safety guidelines.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across resident rooms, apartments, and communal areas.
• Clean, vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitise surfaces to required standards.
• Carry out deep cleaning of vacated rooms and prepare them for new residents.
• Ensure communal areas are well presented and clean at all times.
• Follow infection control procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Replenish supplies and complete laundry and ironing tasks as required.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report hazards promptly.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and individual needs.

Job description

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across all resident rooms, apartments, and communal areas

Clean, vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitise all surfaces, furnishings, and high-touch areas to required standards

Carry out deep cleaning of vacated rooms and prepare them for new residents

Ensure communal areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, reception, and shared spaces, are consistently clean and well presented

Follow infection control procedures and all relevant health and safety guidelines at all times

Replenish supplies and complete laundry and ironing tasks as required

Use cleaning equipment safely and report maintenance issues or hazards promptly

Adhere to cleaning schedules and respect residents' privacy, dignity, and individual needs at all times
