Job summary

Dounemount Care Home, part of Belsize Healthcare, is seeking a Domestic Assistant to keep residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas clean to a high standard. This hands-on role supports wellbeing and comfort through meticulous hygiene and presentation.

You will help with laundry, follow infection control procedures, and work closely with the team to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Previous experience is welcomed but not essential, and PVG disclosure, pension and uniforms are

Job description

Our care home, located on the outskirts of Macduff, offers excellent Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 34-residents, ensuring top-quality support in a tranquil setting

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 12 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
