Job summary

Victim Support in Southampton is seeking a dedicated Caseworker for its Domestic Abuse team. The role is fully office-based with travel across Hampshire and shifts within 8am–6pm, plus late Wednesdays.

You will provide tailored support plans, conduct risk assessments, and liaise with partners to ensure continuous support for victims of crime. An empathetic approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational & time management skills.
• IT skills, including bespoke case management systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Maintain professional boundaries & confidentiality.
• Personal resilience to manage emotional demands of the role.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users, providing information & advocacy to navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring tailored support.
• Identify barriers to accessing services and work with partners for ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records on the case management system.
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse and deliver immediate help.
• Develop, deliver, and monitor safety and support plans for those accepting ongoing support.
• Liaise with local providers to share information on Victim Support services.
