Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of law, legal procedures and police procedures in crime investigation.
• Knowledge of the judicial system is essential. Experience in criminal investigations and interviewing witnesses is desirable.
• Proven ability to handle statements and collect evidence with high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare briefing material and summarise investigators' reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Assist with investigations of Domestic Abuse crimes, including offender processing and evidential file prep for court appearances.
• Secure best evidence by following an investigation plan to support prosecution decisions.
• Submit complete paperwork within deadlines while ensuring evidential integrity.
• Interview witnesses and victims, taking high-quality statements for case files and assessing reliability for court.
