Job summary

Dogs Trust Salisbury is looking for a Dog Welfare Assistant to join our busy rehoming centre. You will provide daily care to the dogs, following our code of practice and health and safety guidelines, and contribute to finding loving new homes.

You should be a strong communicator with empathy for both people and animals, able to work as part of a team, and hold a full manual driving licence as driving will be part of the role. Interviews are scheduled in early October at Salisbury Rehoming Centre.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with empathy for people and animals.
• Full, manual driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to the dogs in the rehoming centre, following Dogs Trust's code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Educate potential new owners and the general public on the care and welfare of their dogs.
• Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors to the centre.
