Job summary

Dogs Trust is seeking a Dog Welfare Assistant at our Harefield rehoming centre. This fixed term, part-time role (22.5 hours weekly) provides daily care to dogs, enrichment, and support for potential adopters.

You will work to our code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines, deliver excellent customer service to visitors, and bring empathy, energy and teamwork to the role. A full manual driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with dogs and knowledge of dog behaviour preferred.
• Good communication and empathy with people and animals.
• Full manual driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to dogs in the rehoming centre in line with Dogs Trust guidelines.
• Educate potential adopters and the public on dog care and welfare.
• Deliver excellent customer service to visitors to the centre.
