A leading construction and fit-out company in Manchester is seeking a proactive Construction Administrator / Document Controller for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re working with a leading construction and fit-out company who are looking for a proactive Construction Administrator / Document Controller to join their Manchester team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
You’ll play a key role in supporting project teams, managing documentation, coordinating reports, and keeping site admin running smoothly. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in construction or a similar project-led environment who enjoys keeping things organised and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain project documentation using EDMS systems (e.g. Asite, Viewpoint, 4Projects).
Control the flow of documents, drawings, and correspondence between project teams and stakeholders.
Support the project team with administrative duties including reports, meeting minutes, and document formatting.
Ensure documents are version-controlled, compliant, and archived correctly.
Liaise with subcontractors and consultants to ensure timely receipt and distribution of information.
Maintain registers, trackers, and logs for key documentation and approvals.
About You
Previous experience as a Document Controller, Construction Administrator, or Project Support within the built environment.
Familiar with document management systems (e.g. Asite, Viewpoint, 4Projects, or similar).
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
