Job summary

Overgate Hospice is seeking a part-time doctor (0.8 WTE) to join a dedicated, multi-professional team delivering high-quality medical care in a hospice setting. The role includes regular daytime work (4 x 8-hour days) and on-call duties on a 1 in 5 weeknights and weekends rota.

Salary is paid per 8-hour day (£198.78) and per on-call session (£99.39). Closing date is 1 November 2026; NHS experience and strong English language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Completion of Foundation Year 1 & 2.
• Excellent written and spoken English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care as a hospice physician within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Participate in patient assessment and treatment planning.
• Attend on-call shifts as roistered (1 in 5 weeknights/weekends).
