Job summary

myDNA, Inc. in Glasgow is seeking a Laboratory Accessioning & Extraction Technician to support end‑to‑end workflows, from sample intake in LIMS to DNA extraction and PCR setup within ISO 15189/UKAS compliant operations.

You will operate automated liquid handling robotics, manage reagents, and ensure strict sample integrity. Collaboration across teams helps maintain throughput and quality across our clinical genomics pipelines.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of molecular biology principles including nucleic acid extraction and PCR setup.
• Familiarity with GLP, ISO 15189, UKAS, NATA standards and quality systems.
• Proficient with data entry and using LIMS/QMS software.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication for cross‑department coordination.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and accession samples in LIMS ensuring specimen integrity.
• Perform automated/manual DNA extraction and PCR setup.
• Operate liquid handling robotics and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Monitor inventory and maintain reagent stocks; ensure lab cleanliness and tools are well maintained.
• Adhere to SOPs and data protection policies while documenting actions.
