Job summary

Primark is seeking a DLP Analyst to monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with Service Desk and cross‑functional teams to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in DLP processes.

You will operate in a hybrid setup with potential for 1–2 days work from home, collaborating with Security, IT and Governance teams to safeguard data across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security.
• Solid understanding of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies.
• Experience with Collibra is advantageous.
• Knowledge of structured and unstructured data protection challenges, including risks with data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
• Strong awareness of enterprise IT environments, ticketing systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage high-volume workloads (up to 40 hours/week) across investigations, incident coordination, and business enablement.

Responsibilities

• Monitored and responded to DLP alerts, conducting investigations to assess risk, impact, and remediation actions.
• Coordinated with Service Desk and support teams to review, justify, and unblock restricted emails or uploads while ensuring compliance.
• Maintained accurate records of DLP events, ensuring tracking, auditability and timely documentation of incidents.
• Produced regular reporting on DLP incidents, trends, and risk exposure with business stakeholders.
• Collaborated with Security, IT, and Data Governance as a liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
• Analysed trends to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification, and drive data protection improvements.
