Job summary

Primark is seeking a DLP Analyst to monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with Service Desk and cross‑functional teams to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in DLP processes.

You will operate in a hybrid setup with potential for 1–2 days work from home, collaborating with Security, IT and Governance teams to safeguard data across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security.
• Solid understanding of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies.
• Experience with Collibra is advantageous.
• Knowledge of structured and unstructured data protection challenges, including risks with data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
• Strong awareness of enterprise IT environments, ticketing systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage high-volume workloads (up to 40 hours/week) across investigations, incident coordination, and business enablement.

• Collaborated with Security, IT, and Data Governance as a liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
• Analysed trends to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification, and drive data protection improvements.

• Produced regular reporting on DLP incidents, trends, and risk exposure, engaging with business stakeholders to support effective resolution.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams including Security, IT, and Data Governance, acting as a key liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
• Analysed trends and recurring issues to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in data protection processes.

• Solid understanding of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies, with experience in platforms such as Collibra considered advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data protection challenges, including risks associated with data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
• Strong technical awareness of DLP policies, enforcement mechanisms, enterprise IT environments, and ticketing systems, alongside compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume workloads (up to 40 hours/week) across investigations, incident coordination, and business enablement, ensuring thorough documentation and auditability.
