Job summary

Primark Stores Limited is seeking a Legal Counsel for Supply Chain in the UK to support strategic contracts across our global operations. You will collaborate with procurement, logistics and operations teams to draft, negotiate and advise on complex agreements governing supply, warehousing and transport.

You will provide commercially pragmatic legal advice, assess regulatory implications, and help shape policy and process improvements within the legal function.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 2–5 years' post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, with ability to identify risks and deliver practical solutions.
• Provide clear, commercially pragmatic legal advice that supports business objectives while managing risk.
• Experience coordinating complex commercial projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic contract negotiations across supply chain, logistics, warehousing, transport and technology agreements.
• Partner with procurement, supply chain and operations teams to provide practical legal guidance on initiatives.
• Deliver commercially focused, risk-based legal advice balancing objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Advise stakeholders on legal impacts of emerging legislation and industry developments affecting logistics and movement of goods.
• Build trusted relationships across the business as a key legal partner to support decision-making.
• Contribute to process improvements within the legal function and manage external counsel as needed.

What You’ll Do as Legal Counsel

• Lead Strategic Contract Negotiations: Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of supply chain, logistics, warehousing, transport and technology agreements that support Primark's global operations.
• Partner with the Business: Work closely with procurement, supply chain and operational teams to provide practical legal guidance on strategic initiatives, projects and business-critical activities.
• Provide Commercially Focused Legal Advice: Deliver clear, pragmatic and risk-based legal advice that balances commercial objectives with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support Innovation and Regulatory Change: Advise stakeholders on the legal impact of emerging legislation, industry developments and innovations affecting logistics, warehousing and the movement of goods.
• Influence Stakeholders and Drive Outcomes: Build trusted relationships across the business, becoming a key legal partner who supports effective decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.
• Enhance Legal Operations and Best Practice: Contribute to process improvements within the legal function, manage external legal counsel where required, and champion efficient, high-quality legal support across the business.

What You’ll Bring
