Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council in Stevenage (with travel across Watford and Three Rivers) is seeking a Prevention Officer to lead prevention work across allocated districts. This fixed-term role, 37 hours per week, offers hybrid working when not on site.

You will provide guidance, use CFRMIS/Power BI, identify at‑risk individuals and work with partners to reduce community risk. DBS check applies; driving required.

Qualifications

• Experience in prevention, community safety or related public sector field.
• Ability to analyse information and translate data into action.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present/training.

Responsibilities

• Lead prevention activity across allocated districts and stations.
• Provide advice and access to approved prevention resources.
• Monitor data to identify risks and support targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, police and health partners.
