Job summary

Allied Mills in Manchester is seeking a Distribution Team Leader to head our distribution function and fleet. You will lead a team to ensure safe handling, timely delivery and adherence to safety standards, while managing 24/7 operations with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

You will require a CPC qualification and proven leadership in a similar FMCG setting; strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with distribution management systems are essential.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification is required.
• Demonstrable experience leading a team in a similar role.
• Previous experience in an FMCG environment is desirable.
• PC literate with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and distribution management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day movements of own fleet and sub-contractor resources in line with planning arrangements.
• Recommend corrections to the delivery schedule based on operational expertise and demand.
• Control and monitor sub-contractor usage and costs.
• Coordinate with the mill team to ensure vehicle loading supports production.
• Ensure informative shift handovers between colleagues.
