Job summary

Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin) in Chippenham is seeking a Distribution Team Leader - Nights to drive safe, efficient distribution operations. You will lead a team, ensure OTIF KPI targets, and collaborate with customer services and transport to satisfy urgent orders.

The role requires 3+ years in a time-sensitive distribution operation, good IT and WMS knowledge, and strong communication across stakeholders. A competitive compensation package is offered.

The role

• Actively promote safe working practices and a safe working environment. Nurture a culture of safety engagement and participation. Review and respond to safety concerns, near misses and work‑related injuries. Complete relevant behavioral and safety audits.

• Deploy distribution team and equipment to maximize distribution performance and ensure we meet our OTIF KPI

• Monitor and manage productivity to ensure output from the team. Identify and act with both poor performers / high achievers

• Audit and manage work streams to ensure are right first time. Identify and act with both poor performers / high achievers

• Participate and Lead in the development and implementation of Chippenham Improvement Plans

• Work closely with customer services and transport to ensure specific customer requirements are met and urgent orders can be satisfied wherever possible to delight the customer

• Motivate and support your team to maintain and enhance engagement

• Ability to communicate with all relevant stakeholders and enhance staff culture

• Ensure all training needs are met to maintain flexible, cross‑functional workforce

• Identify individuals for succession planning within the department

The profile

• 3+ Years of experience In a time sensitive Distribution Operation

• Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

• IT Literate

• Strong commercial awareness

• GCSE / O Level Standard: English and Maths
