Job summary

Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin) is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our Chippenham site. You will ensure machines run to plan, comply with health and safety standards, and support continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

The role focuses on extrusion production, data capture for shop floor systems, quality compliance, and flexibility to work across other operational areas as needed. A hands-on engineer mindset will help you thrive in this purpose-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines produce at standard output and meet the production plan.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
• Participate in development and implementation of Chippenham improvement plans.
• Enter and maintain information for shop floor data collection.
• Enter and maintain information to meet QC standards.
• Complete autonomous maintenance tasks as schedules.
• Undertake work in other operational departments as required.

The role

• To ensure that machines produce at standard output and meet the production plan requirements.
• To ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and that all work is undertaken to the appropriate standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Chippenham improvement plans.
• To enter and maintain all relevant information for shop floor data collection.
• To enter and maintain all relevant information as required to meet QC standards.
• To complete autonomous maintenance tasks as per schedules.
• To undertake work in other operational departments should the need arise.

The profile

• Previous experience of short/medium size batch production.
• Must be able to plan and organize activities of self
