Job summary

WTalent is seeking an experienced Distribution Section Leader to drive daily operations in a busy warehouse, leading a team and delivering measurable improvements. The role combines hands-on leadership with a data-driven Continuous Improvement approach to enhance safety, efficiency and productivity.

You will monitor UPH, productivity, accuracy and labour efficiency while coaching colleagues, running regular performance reviews and embedding new processes across the operation.

• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience managing teams against operational KPIs.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Ability to analyse data and turn insight into action.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of warehouse colleagues.
• Take ownership of daily operational performance and ensure targets are achieved.
• Monitor UPH, productivity, accuracy and labour efficiency.
• Analyse operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Allocate people and resources according to workload, staffing levels and service requirements.
• Lead regular team briefings and performance reviews.
• Identify and reduce operational waste, including downtime and rework.
• Investigate issues using root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Lead improvement activity and embed new processes.
• Work with other teams to improve overall performance.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards and compliance.
• Support operational reporting and communicate performance effectively.
