Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join the Ashby site. You will lead the distribution team, promote a safety-first culture and drive performance, continuous improvement, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Hours are 40 per week and salary starts from £33,300 per annum with a bonus scheme. Benefits include pension, life assurance, health plan, training, and 25 days holiday plus

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4 in Maths & English or equivalent
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing / distribution
• Strong people management and coaching skills
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality policies
• Desirable: Lean Six Sigma; IOSH/NEBOSH certification

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a safety-first culture across operations.
• Ensure activities align with SOPs, process controls and quality standards.
• Maintain audit readiness and support internal, customer and regulatory audits.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise and develop teams to deliver high performance.
• Plan and coordinate daily operational activities to meet targets.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing levels and shift coverage.
• Conduct team briefings and performance reviews.
• Handle employee relations per company policies.
